Coatings and Surface Finishes
Due to the diversity of products and multitude of industries that Gordon Products Ltd supports. It is often a requirement that we provide products and assemblies with an appropriate plated or surface coated finish.
To this effect, we have built up an extensive range of finishes that we can offer to our clients products depending on the technical or cosmetic attributes they are seeking.
These extend to powder coating, available in a full spectrum of colours and specifications, from standard polyester to microbial finishes suitable for the medial and care industries.
Our plated options include: zinc or chrome plating and electro polishing for stainless steel parts. All of which can contribute to the enhancement of cosmetic and/or technical performance.
We can also offer a galvanised finish for items which require excellent corrosion resistance typically found in the agricultural and construction sectors.
Coating Options
- Powder coating is ideal for offering excellent chip resistance and is available in a full range of colours.
- Zinc plating offers a sacrificial surface, with excellent corrosion resistance.
- Bright zinc offers a polished like surface through preparation of the substrate material.
- Chrome Plating provides a bright corrosion resistant finish, often used in: aerospace, medical and food processing.
- Electropolishing used generally on stainless steel reduces roughness of the surface and provides a polished like finish.
- Hot-dipped galvanizing is an immersion in molten zinc to provide excellent corrosion resistance.
